What's happening in the Inspire centre?

It is nearly the end of Term 2 and the Inspire centre staff are busy planning the exciting events that will happen in term 3. In August we will celebrate Book Week and in September we will celebrate Indigenous Literacy day with a book swap for the whole school. The book club students are busy planning this event and there will be more information in the newsletter at the beginning of next term.
The Makerspace activities that have been held this term have been hugely popular and will continue in semester 2. Here is a photo of last week's project. Students designed a paper airplane using a straw and paper. some used other materials they found on the makerspace trolley.
Think you don't need to borrow a book? Well think again. This poster is on display in the library. If you need help finding a great book to read, just ask Mrs Otten.

It's going to be cold this weekend but that is the perfect opportunity to read a book. I love history so my pick for this weekend is a book by Alison Weir.

What will you be reading this weekend? Come and visit me in the Inspire centre on Tuesday and tell me what your favourite book is at the moment. For book suggestions you can check out the posters that the Thursday book club students have created. These posters tell you what they recommend as good books to read and why.
Enjoy the long weekend.

Last Thursday some students in years K-2 participated in a Maker space activity in the Inspire centre. They designed a paper plate marble run and used a variety of materials to create their final product. This week students from years 3-6 will have the opportunity to participate in the same activity.
